So, early season promises ends in disappointment for Rovers fans yet again. However, a season in which three managers have been in charge, and a squad of 40 players used in all competitions was never a recipe for success, therefore here's hoping next season sees a more stable Rovers team playing regularly together instead of the chopping and changing of the line-up seen at Belle Vue this season, where a new face seemed to appear almost every week in the team.

Finally, I should like to nominate my 'player of the year' as Russ Wilcos for his consistent defensive displays despite having half a dozen partners in central defence this seaon alongside him.

Also congratulations to the "Belles" on their Women's FA Cup Final win - here's hoping that next season sees Rovers have any sort of Cup run. Hopefully past the first round for a change. Rovers against one of the big name teams is badly needed in the financial sense, and in addition the fans deserve another big cup-tie at Belle Vue as well.
