Kevin Ashley
right back
1995-1996

Kevin Ashley was rated as a tremendous prospect right from his early days at Birmingham City, with whom he started as an apprentice. In September 1990 Wolves paid 500,000 to acquire the services of this right-back, but he suffered a serious injury and seemed to lose his form. In August 1994 he joined Peterborough United, but he was unable to hold down a regular place with the London Road side and he was loaned to Rovers in March 1996. Despite looking competent in his three appearances, Ashley failed to interest Rovers' boss Sammy Chung and when he left Peterborough he moved on to Telford United and then to Bromsgrove Rovers.
