Harry Gregg

Bought by Peter Doherty in October 1952. Transferred to Manchester United for £23,000, a record for a goalkeeper at the time, for whom he played 210 games. Survived the Munich air crash that took the life of Doncaster born David Pegg. Moved to Stoke City and then into management. 25 full Northern Ireland caps as well as numerous amateur and schoolboy caps, Harry now owns a hotel in Port Stewart, Ulster.
